Suitability test is required for M.Tech. programmes in the Department of:
Mathematics (for Associate membership holders of various recognized professional societies)
Ocean Engineering
Mechanical Engineering (as in Table 3)
Metallurgical & Materials Engineering (GATE paper other than MT)
Suitability Test is required for XE/XL and ZE/ZS candidates.
For M.Tech. programmes in Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Mathematics, candidates are requested to report at the office of the Head of the respective Department.
Candidates with XE/XL paper in GATE have to report at the GATE office.
If you are called for the suitability test, you need to be present to be considered for that particular programme. Even if you do not attend the suitability test for a particular programme, you will still be considered for the other programmes that you have chosen in your application and that do not require suitability test.
